NEW!! Green Mountain Organic Distillery

13 Aug 2012 / 1 Comment / in Liquor News/by domaney

Green Mountain Distillers is a craft-distiller located in the village of Stowe, Vermont.  Since 2002, Timothy Danahy and Harold Faircloth III, the Founders and Master Distillers, have dedicated themselves to producing hand-crafted, organic distilled spirits.

All of the Green Mountain Organic products are meticulously crafted, using small-batch fermentation and a proprietary distillation process.  This process has been Certified Organic by Vermont Organic Farmers, one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious certifying agencies, as well as the USDA National Organic Program.  The Green Mountain Distillers method guarantees premium quality and exceptional taste.

Every Green Mountain Organic product begins with highest quality, 100% Certified Organic grain, provided by a family farmer owned cooperative. Once at the distillery, the grain is combined with Vermont spring water.  This is then distilled six times to produce the highest quality spirits possible.  The six time distillation process results in the purest of spirits, with no need for exotic filtrations due to the superior nature of the finished product.

ORIGINAL SUNSHINE

The award winning Green Mountain Organic “Sunshine” Vodka is made from 100% organic grains and Pure Vermont spring water. The made-by-hand process delivers the smoothest vodka available. This is the perfect representation of the distiller’s art. Whether straight or in a cocktail, one taste and you will know the difference organic makes.

“This vodka from the boutique Green Mountain Distillery is silky-smooth with a ghostly touch of sweetness on the finish.” ~Food & Wine Magazine

TASTING NOTES:
Bright , pleasant flavor with a soft, subtle, smooth mid-palate, followed by a crisp finish.

LEMON

The Green Mountain Organic Lemon Vodka owes its sensational all natural lemon flavors to the essential oils drawn from a blend of lemon varieties. This blend brings a fresh lemon aroma with a tangy, zesty lemon flavor. Green Mountain Organic Lemon Vodka makes the most superb cosmopolitan, or simply add plenty of ice.

“The Green Mountain Organic flavors hit a new standard in flavored vodkas. The Green Mountain Organic craftsman have engineered such divine flavors – they really are unlike any other flavored vodka.” ~ Mike Hall, Distilling Consultant

Very fresh & zesty lemon notes give way to a balanced, smooth finish.

SERVING NOTES:

ORANGE

The taste of Green Mountain Organic Orange Vodka is purely orange and a delightful one at that. Unlike other brands, this vodka is a spirit true to it’s roots and the unadulterated citrus blend can only be compared to fresh-from-the-field flavor.

GIN

Green Mountain Organic Gin is a beautifully botanical rich gin, full of wonderfully fresh Juniper flavors and deep earthy notes. Distilled from a unique blend of botanicals, Vermont spring water and pure organic grain, Green Mountain Organic Gin has an intense Juniper forward, refreshing taste without the harshness that is so often present in other gins. The solid backbone of Juniper leads to an intriguingly deep, multilayered flavored spirit with a slight sweetness that compliments this complexity of flavors. Green Mountain Organic Gin, with its great depth of flavor and intense smoothness, is great for Martini’s with a twist or any cocktail.
